Shurflo 9300 Submersible Pump

Easy and reliable water pumping solution using solar or battery power.

The SHURflo 9300 submersible water pump is a lightweight submersible pump that is useful in low water flow applications such as potable water in remote homes, and light-duty livestock watering and irrigation.

The SHURflo is high efficiency positive displacement diaphragm pump that has a shorter life than helical rotor and centrifugal pumps. Depending on the pumping volume it’s recommended to change the diaphragm every two to four years.  Also keep in mind that the 9300 is very user-serviceable with available parts kits and replacement motors. It will withstand limited dry-pumping and moderately dirty water sources.

This pump can operate directly from a solar panel array or from a 12 or 24-volt battery.  Capable of lifting 1.3 gpm up to 230 feet and with shallow wells it can pump up to 2 gpm.  Although the 9300 will pump up to 230 feet, it should not be submersed more than 100 feet below the water line.

 You can run this pump direct from a 12V or 24V solar array, but it will deliver significantly more water per day (particularly in cloudy weather) if a linear current booster is used.  Operates at half speed and flow at 12 volts. Of course it can also be powered directly from a 12 volt or 24 volt battery system.  These pumps are best suited for low volume, intermittent  use, such as pumping to a holding tank.  Less suited for pumping to a pressure tank in most cases unless the well is shallow and the volume demand is low.

This size of this pump is only 3.75” diameter x 12” long, making it very portable. Drop it in a srteam, lake, or any water source and power it from an automobile battery for emergency use. Use a small pressure tank and pressure switch available at any plumbing shop for pressurized water systems.
